Uninstalling Schrödinger Software on a Mac
Schrödinger software comes with an application for uninstalling the software. This application performs all the necessary actions to completely remove the software from your Mac. You should not use any other method for uninstallation.
To uninstall Schrödinger software:
| 1. | Double-click the Uninstall.command application. |
This application is in the SchrödingerSuite2026-1 folder in the Applications folder. You can also use the copy of this application in the original .dmg package that you used to install the software.
You are prompted to confirm the uninstallation.
| 2. | Type yes and press Enter. |
A password prompt is displayed.
| 3. | Enter the administrator password. |
The software is removed from disk and the SchrodingerSuites2026-1 folder is removed from the Applications folder.
| 4. | Close the command window for the uninstaller. |
If you do not use the uninstaller, and try to install software, the applications will not run. You must then use the uninstaller to uninstall the software, and then reinstall it.
