Display All Distances Panel

Display all distances between a selected atom or atoms in a selected residue and the atoms that are not bonded to it that are within a distance threshold.

To open this panel: click the Tasks button and browse to Structure Analysis → Display Distances from Atom.

Pick atom to show distances within threshold option

Select this option to pick an atom in the Workspace. The picked atom defines either an atom or a residue for display of distances, depending on the choice made from the Show distances option menu.

Specify the maximum distance from the target atom for an atom to be considered for a distance measurement.

Choose an option for the types of distance measurements to display. For the residue options, distances are displayed to atoms within the residue containing the picked atoms.

  • Between atoms—Display distances to all atoms that are not directly bonded to the picked atom and are within the distance threshold.
  • Between residues—Display distances for all atoms in the picked residue to atoms that are not in the same residue, not directly bonded, and within the distance threshold.
  • Within residues—Display distances between atoms in the picked residue that are not directly bonded to each other and are within the distance threshold.
Clear All Distances button

Clear all the distance measurements in the Workspace. This includes distance measurements that were not made from this panel.
