Select Sequences by Identity Dialog Box

Select sequences that have matching residues with the reference sequence according to a specified matching criteria.

To open this dialog box, choose Select → Sequences by Feature → By Identity.

Select Sequences by Identity Dialog Box Features

Select all sequences with identity to Reference option menu and text box

Specify a threshold percentage in the text box, which is the percentage of residues in any sequence that match residues in the reference sequence, i.e. the same residue in the same column (identities). If Greater or equal to is chosen from the option menu, all sequences which have a percentage of matching residues greater than or equal to the threshold percentage are selected. If Less than is chosen from the option menu, all sequences which have a percentage of matching residues less than the threshold percentage are selected.

Include Reference sequence in selection option

Select this option to always include the reference sequence in the selection, regardless of the specified matching criteria.
