Add Property Dialog Box
The Add Property dialog box allows you to add a property to the Project Table and set a value for the new property.
To open this panel, do one of the following:
- in the Project Table panel, choose Data → Add Property → By Type
- click the Tasks button and browse to Project Table and Project Operations → Add Property by Type

Using the Add Property Dialog Box
To add a new property column to the Project Table:

Enter a property name in the Property Name text box.

Choose a property type from the Type option menu.

(Optional) If the type is Real, set the number of decimal digits to be displayed for the property in the Decimal places text box.

(Optional) Enter an initial value for the property in the Initial value text box.

(Optional) Select Add value to selected entries only to store the initial property value only for the selected entries.

Click Add to create the property.

Specify the visible name of the new property. The internal name is generated from this value—see Property Names for more information.

Choose the type of the new property, from Integer, Real, Boolean, or String.
- Decimal places text box

For a real property, specify the number of figures after the decimal point. Only available for properties of type real. The default number of decimals is set in the Project - Project table tab of the Preferences panel.
- Initial value text box

Specify the initial value stored for the property. If a value is not specified, the property column is created, but the property values remain unset.
- Add value to selected entries only option

Store the property value (if set) only for the selected entries. By default, the value is stored for all entries.
