Entry Properties
Apart from the structure, project entries have property data that apply to the structure as a whole. Properties are automatically read and added to the project whenever you import structures or when jobs are incorporated. Some properties of structures can be calculated by Maestro, such as the molecular weight, number of residues, and statistics of structural features.
You can display, delete, sort, and filter entries based on property values. You can select a subset of properties to view, and you can add, delete, copy, and rename properties.
You can export properties to and import properties from a spreadsheet file. See Export Spreadsheet Panel and Import Spreadsheet Dialog Box for information on exporting and importing properties.
Properties are displayed in columns in the Project Table. The property name is displayed in the column heading. If the property has units, these are displayed in the tool tip for the column heading, along with the property names (display name and internal name, see Property Names). The column heading has a shortcut menu (the Property shortcut menu) that opens when you right-click on the heading.
Properties are classified into primary properties and secondary properties. These classifications are defined for each application that produces properties, but you can change the classifications. Only the primary properties are shown in the Project Table by default, but you can specify which properties are shown when adding entries by setting a preference—see Behavior settings.
Most of the operations you can perform on property data are available from the Data menu. The arrangement and appearance of property columns is managed from the Table menu or from the Property shortcut menu. The selection of properties to display is managed in the Property Tree.
