Manage Sets Panel

Manage custom atom sets that are used for atom selection in various places in Maestro. The management tasks you can perform are adding, deleting, editing, reordering, applying, importing, and exporting sets.

To open this panel, first open the Select Objects panel, which you can do by clicking the Choose Item button

under Quick Select on the toolbar or Select → More Objects, then choose Manage Sets in the Select Objects panel.

Using the Manage Sets Panel

Custom sets are automatically saved with the current project. To use the currently defined sets with another project, click Export to save them to a separate sets file (.set). Then, when you open another project, you can click Import to read the sets file into that project.

Set list

List of custom sets available in the current project. Once a set is created, it appears as the currently selected item in this list. You can select a single set to perform operations on. The list is cleared when you close the project, or replaced with the set from a new project when you open it.

set-name ASL query text area

Displays the ASL expression for the selected set. The text area is noneditable, but you can edit the expression (and the set) by clicking Edit. See Atom Specification Language for more information on ASL.

Add button

Add a new set. Opens the Create Custom Set Dialog Box.

List reordering buttons

Use these buttons to move the selected set up or down in the list. The order in which the sets are shown in the list is the order in which they are presented in the Select Objects panel, under Custom Sets.

Import button

Import a set from a set file (.set) into the project. The set is add to the set list and is selected.

Export button

Export the selected set to a set file (.set).

Edit button

Edit the selected set. You can update the selected set or create a new set from the edits. Opens the Create Custom Set Dialog Box.

Delete button

Delete the selected set from the project. You can undo the delete with Edit → Undo or Ctrl+Z (⌘Z).

Select button

Select atoms in the Workspace that match the current set definition.
