Export to PyMOL Panel
Send entries and data from Maestro to a PyMOL session, with options for configuring the session.
To open this panel:
- in the Maestro main window, choose File → Export to PyMOL,
- in the Project Table panel, choose File → Export to PyMOL,
- click the Tasks button and browse to Workspace Operations → Export to PyMOL.

Choose the entries and data to export to PyMOL.
- Entries from option and menu

Send a set of entries from the specified source:
- Workspace—send the entries in the Workspace (the included entries)
- Project Table (Selected)—send the entries that are selected in the Project Table or Entry List
- Project Table (All)—send all the entries in the project
- Scenes option
- Send the project scenes with their entries (see Project Scenes for more information on scenes). Each scene is sent with its own set of entries (even if redundant) and can be viewed as a PyMOL scene.
- Include trajectories option
- If any of the entries sent to PyMOL has a trajectory, send the trajectory as well. NOTE: this is not available if selecting the scenes option.

Set options for configuring the PyMOL session.
- Match style settings option

Match the style settings in the PyMOL session to the settings used in Maestro, where possible. The items on the Presets toolbar button in Maestro generally map to PyMOL styles. You should deselect this option if you plan to change the styling in PyMOL.
- Use Maestro mouse actions option

Use the default Maestro mouse settings in PyMOL.
- Open new PyMOL window option

Open a new PyMOL window to receive the structures. By default, structures are sent to the existing PyMOL session, if there is one. If there is more than one existing session, they are sent to the most recent open session.
- Create scene loop movie (Nutate) option

This option is checked by default. Uncheck if you do not want to include the movie.

Degrees drop down includes options of 30, 60, 90, and 120 degrees.

Seconds drop down includes options of 2, 4, and 8 seconds.
- PyMOL location text box and Browse button

Specify the location of the PyMOL program (executable) in the text box, or click Browse to locate the program. The location is stored as a user preference and is used the next time the panel is opened.
