Register via LiveDesign Panel

Register structures from the Maestro project with LiveDesign, and add the LiveDesign virtual ID to the structures in Maestro as a property.

To open this panel: click the Tasks button and browse to Discovery Informatics and QSAR → Register via LiveDesign. If you are not already connected to the LiveDesign server, you are prompted to log in first.

Using the Register via LiveDesign Panel

The purpose of this panel is to register ideas (structures) from Maestro in LiveDesign, and get back the virtual ID (vID) from LiveDesign to be used in Maestro. There are a number of benefits of this capability:

  • Unique and consistent vIDs for all new ideas generated by modeling. All subsequent modeling activities would relate to this vID.
  • Modelers can easily combine their work with data and models available in LiveDesign.

For structures that are already registered in LiveDesign, the vIDs are retrieved and returned to Maestro. For structures that are new to LiveDesign, a new idea is registered in LiveDesign for each structure, and the vIDs are returned to Maestro.

Note: Once you have added a LiveDesign ID to a structure, you should not modify it in any way, as changing the structure makes the vID invalid.

Register via LiveDesign Panel Features

Use structures from option menu

Choose the structure source for registration via LiveDesign.

  • Project Table (n selected entries)—Use the entries that are currently selected in the Project Table or Entry List. The number of entries selected is shown on the menu item. An icon is displayed to the right which you can click to open the Project Table and select entries.
  • Workspace (n included entries)—Use the entries that are currently included in the Workspace, treated as separate structures. The number of entries in the Workspace is shown on the menu item. An icon is displayed to the right which you can click to open the Project Table and include or exclude entries.

Open the Project Table panel, so you can select or include the entries for the structure source.

Place LiveDesign ID options

Once the structures have been registered with LiveDesign, place the LiveDesign ID in the selected property:

  • Title—replace the title with the LiveDesign ID
  • Property—create a property to hold the LiveDesign ID.
Upload status report

Displays the status for the upload of the structures to LiveDesign, and when this is done, displays a link to the Live Report for the upload.

Register via LiveDesign button

Click this button to register the structures with LiveDesign. The structures are uploaded and the status is reported. Once they are uploaded, a link to a Live Report is shown for the status. The IDs are then added to the structures in the specified Maestro property.
