Aggregate Residue Property Dialog Box
Aggregate a residue property over all residues in each of a specified set of sequences, and add the results to the sequences as a descriptor.
To open this dialog box, choose Other Tasks → Aggregate Residue Property in the Multiple Sequence Viewer/Editor Panel.

Choose the property to aggregate. If the list is long, you can use the search button to search for properties by name, and restrict the search to properties or descriptors. When you select a search hit, the property is selected in the menu and the search box closes. The list does not include descriptors that were generated by using the protein sequence descriptors,.

Choose the way in which the property is aggregated, from a range of statistical methods (sum, mean, standard deviation, etc.)
- Sequence descriptor name text box

Specify the name to use for the sequence descriptor in which the aggregated property is stored. A default name is constructed from the method and the property names. The descriptor is added to the list in the Manage Sequence Properties dialog box, where it can be selected for display as a column.
- Calculate for selected sequences only option

Calculate the aggregated property values for the sequences that are selected in the sequence viewer. The default is to calculate them for all sequences.
- Display results option

Display the results as a column in the Multiple Sequence Viewer/Editor Panel.
