Workspace Main Toolbar

The main toolbar runs along the top of the Workspace below the menu bar. It contains the main tools of Maestro, and is divided into sections.

On the left is the Selection toolbar, which allows you to easily select atoms in the Workspace and act on them. This toolbar provides two ways of selecting atoms in the Workspace: direct picking or quick object selection. In direct picking, you can click on atoms, bonds, or ribbons in the Workspace or drag over an area to select the enclosed atoms. In quick object selection, you can choose from a list of common structure objects or custom atom sets that you define. There are also buttons for other ways of changing the selection. The actions on this toolbar can also be found on the Select menu. See Selecting Atoms for more information
Next are the fitting tools, for zooming in or out on the atoms in the Workspace based on structure or selection. See Zooming and Fitting for more information.
These are followed by buttons to open toolboxes for styling the Workspace objects (Style and Presets, see Changing Structure Styles) and for building structures (Build, see Building and Editing Structures).
On the right are buttons for opening the Project Table Panel, managing jobs (see Job Status), and performing computational and other tasks.
