Optoelectronic Device Designer - ML Predictions Dialog Box

Make performance predictions on the current device using machine learning models.

To open this pane, click on the Predict Performance button in the Design tab of the Optoelectronic Device Designer Panel.

Optoelectronic Device Designer - ML Predictions Dialog Box Features

Models table

Models added using the Add Model button are listed here.

  • Use—Select this option to use the model in the prediction.

  • Model— The name of the loaded model.

  • Property—The property the model has been trained to make predictions for.

  • Layers—The layers present in the OLED device architectures used for model training. A device that is missing one of these layers can still be predicted by the model, but devices with an additional layer not shown here cannot be predicted.

  • Delete—Click the delete icon to remove the model from the table.

Add Model button

Load a ML model generated using the OLED Device Machine Learning Panel. The model can be found in the job directory with the extension -.mlform. Click to open the Add ML Prediction Model dialog box, where you can navigate to the file. The name of the file you selected is displayed in the text box.

Prebuilt models can be downloaded via the OLED Device Machine Learning Panel and are stored in your User resources directory, under matsci_templates/oled_device_ml.

The model is added to the Models table and persists in the list between Maestro sessions.

Run Models button

Apply the selected models in the Models table to the current device. The current device must not contain any layers that are not covered by the model. The predicted values are added to the Predictions table.

Copy button

Copy the device prediction data to the clipboard, so you can paste it into another application.

Predictions table

Lists the current device, its composition, and predicted values.

  • Device—The device name and recipe.

  • Properties— Click the Run Models button to add a column for each property from the selected models. The predicted values and their corresponding uncertainties are added.

OK button

Click to save predictions on the device, exit pane, and go back to the Optoelectronic Device Designer Panel. Click the Save button in the Design tab to save the predictions for the device. The predicted values are available in the Devices table in the Devices tab.

Cancel button

Click to exit pane and go back to the Optoelectronic Device Designer Panel.
